Established in 1990 by Jim Rodger. Jerry’s Plains Veterinary Hospital has now become widely known throughout Australia and overseas as a specialist equine reproduction clinic. It continues to service thoroughbred studs in the area and the increasing non thoroughbred industry, particularly in the sphere of artificial breeding.

Services

In-House Laboratory

Most of our laboratory work is done in-house with state of the art equipment. This includes blood profiles, microbiology, and semen analysis.

Equine Practice

Although best known for our work in equine reproduction, we have high standards in all aspects of equine practice, including lameness, medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. The practice is well-equipped with digital x-ray, video-endoscope, ultrasound, and well stocked ambulatory service.

Mixed Practice

We are committed to providing an all-round service to the local community. Jerry’s Plains Veterinary Hospital has facilities and experience to offer basic care in all species and can refer to specialist centres where and if necessary.

Emergency Vet Care

From regular vaccinations to emergency consultations we are happy to help out any animal that walks through our door. At present our surgical facilities for small animals are on hold but we can refer where necessary
